Product Care Information

All Perennial Designs products are made for everyday use and built to last with the right care.

Cleaning: We recommend hand washing your item with mild soap and warm water. Avoid soaking or leaving it in standing water, as this can lead to warping or cracking over time.

Oiling: To keep the wood nourished and looking its best, periodically reapply a food-safe oil like coconut, walnut, or mineral oil.

Maintenance: If your piece becomes rough or dry—especially after exposure to water—you can gently sand it with a fine or low-grit sandpaper and re-oil to restore its finish. Keep in mind that some woods, such as purpleheart, may change color over time with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

Important: All of our products are finished with pure coconut oil, which is naturally food-safe and enhances the wood’s natural grain. Please take note if you or someone in your household has a coconut allergy.
